Schooner Pete's Taffy
As a youth, I grew up going to Cannon Beach and Seaside, Oregon. My family spent many, many weekends at the coast. As a child I loved the old-fashioned salt water taffy that you could only get by going to the beach, and of course, no trip to the beach was complete without a bag of taffy for the ride home!
Many years later I began spending time at the Oregon Coast and found that most
of the shops I stopped into carried a different kind of taffy than I remembered
as a child. Checking into this, I found out this taffy came from Salt Lake City,
Utah. WHAT??? Salt Lake City taffy on the Oregon Coast! What has life come to??
I immediatley began my search for the Taffy I knew as a child. After many years
and many disappointments, I finally found the old-fashioned taffy that reminded me
of my childhood. The same delicious flavors I remembered were available, peanut
butter (stuffed) mmmmmmm, red hot cinnamon, peppermint, chocolate and black
licorice swirl. I was in heaven.
Because I do so many things with berries and Oregon flavors, I decided to bring taffy
into the 21st century. We have developed flavors like Huckleberry, Cranberry, Marionberry and Triple Berry. If you are looking for an old-fashioned taffy that will bring back memories of your childhood, you will not be disappointed with the Schooner Pete Old Fashion Taffy Selection.
